"We moved to Columbus and lived with Byron's mother until we could find a job.  Byron got a job at Marietta City Schools and now the search was on for a rental.  First stop was CRANSTON REAL ESTATE, and luck was on our side, a 3-bedroom house on Harmar Hill.  We moved in on 4th of July weekend 1984.  Our 3 daughters were under the age of 4 at the time.  In 1985 we were able to purchase a home on Harmar Hill.

So now we are all settled and I had a little extra time so I started selling Avon.  I sold Avon for 7 years and made President's Club every year.  I needed something more, so I went to Washington State Community College for Real Estate classes.  I received my license in April of 1993.  I became very active in the Marietta Board of Realtors®, serving as a Director, President-Elect and President.  I also served as Director for A.S.O.R.E.B. and was name Realtor® of the Year and earned OAR's President Sales Club Award for 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.  I am currently serving as the Board President for the third time.

Our daughters are grown now.  Our oldest, Carissa, is married and a graduate of Marietta College.  Alesha is a Junior at West Virginia Wesleyan College majoring in Elementary Education.  Tasha is a Freshman at Washington State Community College and is majoring in nursing.

In my spare time I enjoy boating on the Ohio River.  I also enjoy camping, sewing, hiking and reading.  I have a sixteen month old Airedale dog that is a delight.  He makes life interesting.

Next to my family and dog, Real Estate is the best thing I could do with my life.  I am happy to get up for work.  I have made some very good friends and hope to find more."
